Workhorse Offers New Facility Tour Video

May 1, 2013

Workhorse Products, Phoenix, is offering a new manufacturing facility tour video that includes a demonstration of how a screen printing press is assembled from raw materials to crated product.

Workhorse stocks raw materials that are processed into machine parts. This involves sawing, shearing and punching.

The video then shows the computer numerical control machines, electric discharge machine, and smoothing and detailing of machine parts, which are individually powdercoated and cured. Finished parts move to the assembly section of the plant, where machines, workers and equipment are aligned for an optimal workflow. Specialized workers ensure that assembly is consistent and in the proper sequence.

In quality control, each automatic press is cycled 3,000 times before teardown. In the wood shop, crates are custom built for each machine. Finally, in the showroom, which is a 2,500-square-foot, fully functional screen printing shop, viewers will see where demonstrations, training and product development take place.
