Vapor Apparel Wins SGIA Product of the Year

September 28, 2017

Vapor Apparel, N. Charleston, S.C., recently announced its Solar Performance long-sleeve tee has received the Specialty Graphic Imaging Association’s (SGIA) Product of the Year Award in the “Textile-Finished Garment-Synthetic” category.

“This is part of an extensive line of innovative products from Vapor Apparel,” says Jackson Burnett, president, Vapor Apparel. “We appreciate the award and look forward to bringing more customers this great product in 2018.”

More than 70 companies competed in the 2017 Product of the Year Awards, submitting a combined 222 entries spanning the competition’s 49 categories – the largest field of competitors in the awards program’s history. All entries will be displayed in the Golden Image Gallery at the 2017 SGIA Expo, which will be held Oct. 10-12 in New Orleans.

Ray Weiss, SGIA’s digital imaging specialist, coordinated the yearly awards program and said competition was tight. “This was the best year for entries that I can remember,” he says. “In addition to the sheer volume of competitors, product quality was outstanding. Vapor Apparel’s award was well-earned.”

The Product of the Year jewel awards will be presented in an Oct. 9 special ceremony that will be held in conjunction with the 2017 SGIA Expo.
