S&S Activewear to Add Georgia Warehouse

S&S Activewear, Bolingbrook, Ill., will open a new 505,000-square-foot facility in Georgia to offer one-day shipping to the Southeastern United States.

The company already has locations in Illinois, Kansas, New Jersey, California and Texas. The new facility, to be located in McDonough, Ga., will service Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina, North Carolina and Florida. Its two-day shipping capabilities will support the rest of S&S Activewear’s distribution network in the Eastern United States and Midwest.

The Georgia facility will be ready for orders in the second quarter of 2018, according to the company, and will feature energy-saving technology such as high-efficiency lighting and solar panels.

“The Atlanta facility marks critical progress in S&S’s nationwide expansion,” says Frank Myers, chief operating officer, S&S Activewear. “The strategic location and sophistication of the new facility will allow us to provide our industry’s best service and product to our customers in the Southeast.”


With the opening of its new Fort Worth, Texas facility scheduled for December, the strategic Atlanta location bodes well for S&S Activewear. “The Atlanta facility expands our capabilities as a national partner to our vendors and customers,” Myers says. “By extending our geographic reach, we are able to meet the growing demand of our customers and continue to propel our business.” — J.L.
