Russell Athletic Announces Partnership with Augusta Sportswear

Russell Athletic, Bowling Green, Ky., and Augusta Sportswear, Augusta, Ga., have partnered to bring high-quality Russell Athletic uniforms back to the team-sports channel.

Now, Augusta Sportswear will exclusively manufacture, market and sell team uniforms and other team-specific products as Russell Athletic’s official team sports partner.

“With a brand legacy that includes outfitting athletes for generations and the invention of the sweat shirt, Russell Athletic has played an integral role in developing team uniforms and performancewear on and off the field for more than 115 years,” says Matt Murphy, Russell Athletic vice president of marketing. “Augusta Sportswear is a proven leader in team apparel with an exceptional reputation for service and quality, making them an ideal partner to bring Russell Athletic to the next generation of teams and athletes.”

Augusta Sportswear will not only offer Russell Athletic uniforms for basketball, baseball, football and softball, but also will distribute Russell Athletic workout apparel, including fleece, T-shirts and performance products. The new categories will begin with basketball uniforms and workout apparel debuting this August and continue to be phased in throughout the next year.
