FULL STORYInkSoft, Albuquerque, N.M., has announced an enhanced Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) integration option for its users.
The SSL coverage incorporates Google software with SSL providers in an effort to establish trust with online shoppers, according to the company. The aim of the software is to ensure data and private information remains secure when passed from the browser to a web server. Additionally, Google places more emphasis on SSL-encrypted websites, making it a factor in search rankings.
InkSoft now offers two new options for users to secure their online stores. Dedicated SSL certificates protect the entire website and create safe transactions, ensuring the buyer’s browser does not give a safety warning. Free Shared SSL certificates protect only pages that require high security, such as account sign-in and checkout pages.
The company also offers a range of SSL products as paid add-ons.Single-domain SSL certificates allow you to secure a web domain using a store name, plus individual InkSoft-powered online stores. Multidomain certificates protect users with multiple selling channels on unique branded domain names.
SSL purchases can be made from within the InkSoft control panel. —M.Q.
