“Four Tips For Continuous Improvement In Your Shop,” written by Marshall Atkinson, manager, InkSoft Production Manager Software, discusses a four-part process that consists of the following: plan, do, study and act.
“Plan” involves describing the problem and figuring out how you envision solving it. “Do” is taking baby steps to put your plan into action. “Study” involves testing your results. “Act” is where you standardize the process in your shop and train everyone on the new way of doing things.
