BELLA+CANVAS, Los Angeles, and Gildan Activewear, Montreal, distributed care packages on March 15 to more than 5,000 Los Angeles homeless people as part of a partnership with local charity Bundles of Hope.

The care packages, assembled by students from the Los Angeles school district, included BELLA+CANVAS T-shirts and Gildan socks, and were given to the homeless as they make their way back into traditional living.

“The intent was to not only give a much-needed boost to their self-esteem, but to make them feel valued as individuals,” says Jack Harris, a senior at Beverly Hills High School and founder of Bundles of Hope, whose mission is to provide homeless people in transition with a bundle of basic essentials to help make their lives easier and to spread awareness of the challenges they face. — J.L.
