A4 Goes Green with Recycled Polyester
A4, manufacturer of premium sportswear and team uniforms, is now making all its most popular apparel, and the vast majority of its line, with recycled polyester.
FULL STORYBELLA+CANVAS, Los Angeles, announced that after 18 months of research and development, the company has released the industry’s first black heather product.
Launching Nov. 1 is the black heather unisex jersey crew (style 3001), part of a Black Heather collection that includes 10 styles in three fabrications. It will be available at bellacanvas.com and, starting in January, at all major BELLA+CANVAS distributors.
It was important that the line’s fabric was a true black that also featured the heather-blend texture that customers crave, according to the company.
“Every year, we ask ourselves, how can we push the envelope in terms of innovation and, as we often find, sometimes the best ideas are the simplest,” says Danny Harris, co-founder, BELLA+CANVAS. “We looked at the competitive landscape and realized no one had a black heather. I don’t know if the industry lacks innovation or the concept proved to some too difficult to execute. But either way, after 18 months of being told it can’t be done, we nailed the perfect true black heather,”. — M.Q.
