Badger Sportswear to Acquire Alleson Athletic

Badger Sportswear, Statesville, N.C., has announced it will acquire Alleson Athletic, Rochester, N.Y., a manufacturer of in-stock uniforms and sublimated garments.

The move will allow Badger to offer more customized product options, apparel, and rapid fulfillment and service for team dealers, decorators and collegiate bookstores, according to the company.

““Both Badger Sportswear and Alleson Athletic are known for affordable, high-quality sports apparel that have enabled athletes to perform at their best and fans to show their team spirit,” says John Anton, CEO, Badger Sportswear. “By bringing the two businesses together, Badger and Alleson are positioned to better service our customers’ athletic apparel needs nationwide.”

Anton will lead the combined company and Todd Levine, CEO and president of Alleson Athletic, will continue to manage that portion of the business. The transaction is expected to close by the end of November.
