Augusta Sportswear Group Offers Free-Freight Program

Augusta Sportswear Group (ASG), Augusta, Ga., recently launched a free-freight program that offers free freight on orders more than $200, as well as other benefits.

Under the new program, called the “Fair and Simple Program,” any customer ordering more than $200 from ASG will receive free freight on that order. Orders less than $100 will have a flat-rate charge of only $10 and orders between $100 and $200 will have a $15 flat-rate charge.

Other benefits of the Fair and Simple program include: All orders totaling more than $3,000 receive an additional discount of 5% across the entire order; no handling fees; all oversize charges have been reduced and standardized at $1, no matter the size or style.

“We’re excited to launch the most innovative freight and pricing program in our history,” says Derek Ernst, senior vice president of marketing and merchandising, ASG. “We heard our customers loud and clear: They wanted a free-freight program. But we didn’t want to stop there. Our goal was to make ASG the easiest company in the industry to do business with, so we looked at everything from pricing to oversize charges.
