Madeira USA, Laconia, N.H., will host a webinar called “Embroidering with Frosted Matt Thread.” Schedule for March 27 at 2 p.m., the webinar will introduce embroiders to Frosted Matt, featuring a basic description, and details on how and where to use the thread.
Two industry professionals, Lynda Morgan and Paulette Bell, will participate in the webinar. Morgan, a principal at Stitchin’ Chicks Embroidery, is known for her creative expression in how she selects colors and combines elements to create specialty items. Bell, a freelance educator for the home appliance division at Brother Intl., has more than 30 years of experience as a shop owner. She will demonstrate how to use Frosted Matt to create freestanding lace and embroidery that resembles crochet.
From its use for shading and contrast, to its color-fast properties, ability to hold up to sunlight and use in achieving small lettering and fine details, Frosted Matt is an easy running embroidery thread that can provide many solutions, according to the company.
The webinar also will be recorded and available on the company’s website at the end of March.
