American Embroidery Supply, Columbus, Ga., has introduced a new 2-ounce premium-grade cutaway.
The cutaway (#720) is made using a wet-laid process that ensures multidirectional stability and a needle lubricant for smooth sewing, according to the company. It is composed of synthetic and cellulose fibers treated with a chemical binder. It can be washed or dry-cleaned, and remnants remove cleanly when torn away.
Ideal for embroidering on tote bags, jeans, towels, and heavy canvas and nylon jackets with a light-to-medium stitch count, the cutaway comes in a 15-inch width in 25- and 50-yard lengths. Additionally, a 23-inch width is available in 125 yards, and a 46-inch length comes in 125 yards and 250 yards.
