OKI Data Americas, Irving, Texas, previously attended the National Association of College and University Mail Services (NACUMS) Conference.
Arthur Verwey, senior marketing manager of OKI Data, spent time networking with his colleagues, industry professionals, suppliers and vendors. Throughout the conference, Verwey observed that college and university print shops are demanding diversity in their capabilities, such as integrating high-value services like white-toner printing and diverse media selection into their business operations.
“A lot of school and university inplants are looking for ways to diversify and also for ways to expand the business within the organization,” says Verwey. “Every school needs shirts every day for fundraisers, sport events, new student enrollment and sport team uniforms.”
Verwey also demonstrated OKI’s breakthrough technology, featuring the OKI Pro 8432WT with CMY + White, which can print digital transfers faster than they can be pressed, according to the company.
OKI’s digital-transfer printers can be used for light or dark apparel, garments and hard goods. The printers also offer a variety of color choices and enhanced output flexibility at an affordable cost, according to the company. — D.S.
