Brother Enters Wide-Format Latex Segment with Latest Launch
Bridgewater, New Jersey—Brother International Corporation will be entering the signage market with the all-new WF1-L640 64-inch latex wide-format printer.
FULL STORYMind’s Eye Graphics, Decatur, Ind., will host a two-day digital decorating class that will present information and hands-on education for attendees.
The class, “How to Make Money with Digital Decorating,” will be held Oct. 6-7. It will be taught by Aaron Montgomery, a 17-year veteran of the industry, and Greg Kitson, owner of Mind’s Eye Graphics.
This class is for anyone interested in beginning a new business or expanding a current business to include digital decorating. Participants will learn about:
The Right Equipment — Attendees will learn about digital decorating’s place in the market, the appropriate investment needed to be successful and how to make the equipment productive with industry best practices. They also will learn about direct-to-garment (DTG) printing, sublimation, transfer printing, print and cut vinyl and get hands on with sublimation and print and cut vinyl.
The Right Products — Attendees will learn about setting up artwork for the products they will be digitally decorating and how that is different from analog techniques, finding hidden niches within their current market that are now available once you have added digital decoration. They also will learn about the most popular digitally decorated products and how to troubleshoot common mistakes that new digital decorators make.
The Right Business — Attendees will learn marketing and business-management tips as it related to digital decorating, as well as costing and pricing digital decorating. They also will learn about creating the right samples, proactive sales and scalability.
The class is limited to 30 people and participants are encouraged to bring their own files to be printed during the hands-on portion of this event. Casual dress is recommended, as all participants will decorate garments and other substrates.
A meet-and-greet event will be held at the Mind’s Eye Graphics facility for attendees arriving Oct. 5. After the first day of class, a barbecue is planned for all attendees. Lunch will be provided both days. Space is limited and is first come, first served with full payment. The cost is $149 each normally, but there is an early bird special price of $99 each until Aug. 31. Also, there is an additional 10% discount for each additional attendee from the same company.
