FDC Graphic Films Inc., South Bend, Ind., will open a new facility to serve the western United States in August.
The western distribution center and converting facility will be located in Reno, Nev. The warehouse will be operational this month, and customers will see reduced delivery times once the distribution center is opened, according to the company. Through FDC’s agreements with LTL and freight-delivery services, major western metropolitan areas in Arizona, Nevada and Southern California are eligible for next-day delivery.
“The western distribution center significantly improves FDC’s ability to reduce lead times for shipments to the west, offering the opportunity to deliver a broad range of graphic film products days sooner when compared to other sources shipping from the east and midwest,” says George Marsh, general manager, FDC Graphic Films.
Orders placed before 5 p.m. PST are eligible for same-day shipment. Late-day shipping further enhances FDC’s ability to reduce shipment time, shaving an additional day compared to competitors, according to the company. — M.Q.
