Absolute Inkjet Inc., Glenview, Ill., now offers Sublim8 inks, which allow any Epson wide-format model to be converted into a dye-sublimation printer.
Consumers using standard Epson wide-format printers can repurpose the machines at a lower cost compared to purchasing a custom sublimation model. Sublim8 inks produce vivid color, have great fade resistance, and are supplied in ready-to-use cartridges and in bulk for use with refillable bulk ink systems, according to the company.
Sublim8 cleaning products, conversion guides and free ICC color profiles for accurate color are supplied to aid a smooth printer transition. The ink line also is compatible with most current Epson wide-format models, including the SureColor P and T series.
“We have been helping customers convert Epson printers to specialist inks for over 12 years now and are experts in the process,” says Tony Martin, Absolute Inkjet president. “Sublim8 products offer printer owners the opportunity to enter the lucrative sublimation market without investing in a new machine.” — D.S.
