SGIA Announces Screen Printed Apparel Training Zone at 2010 ExpoJune 03, 2010Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) recently announced that it will unveil its first-ever Screen Printed Apparel Training Zone during its 2010 SGIA Expo, to be held Oct. 13-15 in Las Vegas. Presented by major industry suppliers, the Screen Printed Apparel Training Zone will enable attendees to experience garment screen printing techniques, and will feature six interactive training sessions. “[The Screen Printed Apparel Training Zone] is a complete mini-training package for garment decorators and is being supported by some of the top experts and suppliers in the industry,” says Johnny Shell, vice president of technical services, SGIA. “The free program repeats each day, so that time visiting exhibits can be maximized.” Session topics for each day of the show include: considerations for purchasing an automatic press, inks, art preparation, manual and automatic printing, and heat transfers. The Screen Printed Apparel Training Zone is just one of five Expert Advice Zones on the Expo floor.
