Roland’s ECO-SOL MAX Ink Wins AwardDecember 16, 2010Roland DGA Corp., Irvine, Calif has announced its Metallic Silver ECO-SOL MAX ink received the Best of 2010 Award at Viscom Frankfurt, held in Germany. Metallic Silver ECO-SOL MAX ink also has received other accolades, including EDP and DPI awards. This ink recognizes the technology behind VersaCAMM VS and SOLJET PRO III XC-540MT wide-format inkjet printer/cutters and Roland VersaWorks RIP software, which together optimize the ink’s performance across a wide range of media and applications, according to the company. Metallic Silver ECO-SOL MAX ink produces metallic graphics that previously were possible only through screen printing, offset printing and hot stamping processes. Roland’s metallic inkjet line includes 64-, 54- and 42-inch VersaCAMM VS models, as well as the 54-inch SOLJET XC-540MT. VersaWorks RIP software is included in all models and features the Roland Metallic Color Library of 512 metallic spot colors, according to the company.
