Hirsch Debuts New Adelco Digital Dryer

October 26, 2010

Hirsch Intl., Hauppauge N.Y., has debuted a new automatic drawer dryer, manufactured by Adelco, that is designed specifically for curing direct-to-garment, digitally printed shirts and low-volume screen printed shirts.

According to the company, Adelco worked closely with Kornit Digital to create this two-drawer dryer model, which is designed to fit the Kornit Breeze 921 machine as a made-to-measure stand for the Breeze. This dryer can be used with any brand of digital printer, regardless of whether the machine will fit on top.

The drawers automatically open and close, and each is linked to independent timers, allowing operators to focus on the printing as opposed to the drying of products. The independent timers allow flexibility for users that require varying curing times for different garments and other substrates.

High airflow is applied to the surface of each drawer to maximize curing efficiency and consistency, and a valve system prevents loss of air as each drawer opens. In addition, this dryer features a digital temperature control and variable exhaust system.
