Air Waves Offers SuperTone for Small-Run OrdersJanuary 18, 2012Air Waves Inc., Lewis Center, Ohio, recently announced that SuperTone — its soft hand heat transfer process — now is available for small-run production orders. This specifically formulated, phthalate-compliant, opaque decoration can be applied to a range of fabrics and colors used for childrenswear, cottons, tri-blends, outerwear and athletic garments. The applied decoration is durable and has a soft-hand feel. Most of the transfers produced to date with the SuperTone ink system can be applied over seams, zipper gaps, collars and plackets using commercial heat transfer machines without special handling. Images can be adjusted from opaque to semi-opaque to satisfy specific design looks. When combined with distressed patterns, the resulting decoration takes on a vintage look. The process can be applied on white to light, as well as midrange and dark fabrics. For more information, visit airwavesinc.com. — S.G. RECENT HEADLINES
