Agion Earns Textile Treatments Patent

Agion Technologies Inc., Wakefield, Mass., revealed that it has received U.S. Patent 7,754,625 for its ability to create a solution for textiles that achieves improved wash durability and color stability with an industry-first, longer lasting “whiter white,” according to the company.

This patent protects Agion’s odor control solution as an innovative method of treating white and light-colored materials. In addition, Agion’s solution demonstrates its ability to improve whiteness visually — immediately upon manufacture and after multiple washings. The patent includes both visual and colorimetric achievement for superior initial and long-term color stability.

Agion’s textile technologies can be used with sporting gear, activewear, undergarments, footwear and a variety of uniforms, according to the company.
