A.W.T. Debuts Eco-Friendly Automatic Screen Cleaning System

A.W.T. World Trade Inc., Chicago, recently debuted its Kleen-View Automatic — an environmentally friendly, fully air-operated system that safely cleans screens, recycles solvent and simplifies disposal of ink residue, according to the company.

Featuring stainless steel construction and using biodegradable chemistry, the fully-enclosed unit limits chemical exposure. It also helps the environment by capturing ink as it is removed from the screen, allowing users to recycle usable solvent for the next cleaning cycle. Using the unit also reduces the time needed to effectively and completely clean used silk screens.

Available in seven floor models handling frame sizes from 36” x 54” to 88” x 148”, the Kleen-View Automatic comes standard with either a 20- or 50-gallon chemistry reservoir. Larger units have a 100-gallon chemistry reservoir. The four-chambered, stainless steel Duro-Tank chemistry reservoir provides progressive chemical filtering. Completely air-powered, the tank can be operated where environmental conditions are an issue, increasing operator convenience and safety. The permanent stainless steel filters can be removed for cleaning, eliminating the need for replacements. This closed-loop recycling system provides a double-sided chemistry sprayer with variable speed controls for fully-adjustable chemical flow, while the exhaust outlet safely extracts any fumes when vented properly. Wide, Clear-View front glass doors provide easy access and safe monitoring of the screen washing process, according to the company.

The Kleen-View Automatic’s translucent fiberglass back panel allows the operator to use natural or artificial light to create a backlight environment, revealing any ink or chemistry clogs in the screen, as well as residue. Additionally, all systems are available with or without backlights.
